According to servsafe.com, “A food handler is defined by law as a person who works in a food facility and performs any duties that involve the preparation, storage or service of food in a food facility.”
State law requires all food handlers to have a California Food Handler Card within 30 days of being hired. However, the requirements may vary depending on your county so please make sure to check the food handling procedures in your specific area.
